CTAP/ICTAP Eligibility
Individuals must be well-qualified for this position to receive consideration. CTAP/ICTAP eligible candidates will be considered well-qualified if they earn a final score on the job examination questions of 85 or higher, not including points for veteran's preference. Eligible candidates are required to submit proof of eligibility. This includes a copy of the agency notice; a copy of your most recent Performance Rating; a copy of your most recent or separation "Notice of Personnel Action" (SF-50) noting position, grade level, and duty location; an agency certification that you cannot be placed after injury compensation has been terminated; an OPM notification that your disability annuity has been terminated; OR a Military Department or National Guard Bureau notification that you are retired under 5 U.S.C.8837(h) or 8456. Perform masonry repairs on historic and non-historic structures using a variety of applications (brick, stone, and stucco)

Basic knowledge of techniques and procedures involved in laying a variety of brick, block, stone, and setting decorative tiles in construction and/or repair of partitions, walls, and walkways.

Ability to perform repointing of brick and stone masonry including mortar removal, joint preparation, back pointing, and finish pointing to match existing finish mortar joint profiles.

Ability to cut brick, stone, tile, and concrete masonry units to execute proper placement, fit, and appearance.

Knowledge of steel (rebar) reinforcement placement and the use of fiber-mesh for the desired p.s.i. (pounds per square inch)

Use different finish techniques such as broom finish, exposed aggregate or washed finish, and trowel finishes.
