Assessment 1
For the GS-09, one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level, or equivalent, that is directly related to the position and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as:
-Managing and organizing records and documents; AND
-Purchasing supplies or equipment; AND
-Interpreting and providing guidance on related policies and procedures.
OR
You may substitute education for specialized experience: Master's Degree or equivalent graduate degree in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management field related to the position, or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.

You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be combined with experience.
