A. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex Maintenance Mechanic duties. I can perform general heating or air conditioning maintenance duties; I can perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting, duties. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. I can perform scheduled cyclic preventive maintenance and limited complexity repairs to parts, components and ancillary support mechanisms of heating equipment; air conditioning equipment; and domestic and commercial type kitchen and bakery equipment. I can perform incidental flat work welding using oxygen-acetylene and electric arc processes to fabricate brackets, repair cracks in flat sheet metals, etc. I can perform a variety of data automation duties related to the handling/completing of Demand Maintenance Orders (DMOs) and Preventative Maintenance Orders (PMOs) in database applications, and web-based computer information systems. I can provide a variety of first echelon repairs to Air Conditioning units to include: adjusting belts and pulleys, oiling, greasing, tightening loose connections, adding coolant, replacing faulty insulation, replacing bad belts, replacing fans, fuses. I can provide a variety of first echelon repairs to heating units to include: adjustment and component replacement of motors, blowers, pilots, igniters and thermostatic control devices. I can provide a variety of first echelon repairs to commercial or domestic type Kitchen and Bakery Equipment such as meat slicers, food grinders, mixers, ranges, ovens, etc. I can perform intermediate-level carpentry, electrical work, painting, plumbing, pipefitting and flat work welding by use of oxygen-acetylene/electric-arc processes. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.

B. I have the ability to perform the full range of Maintenance Mechanic duties. I can perform general heating or air conditioning maintenance duties; I can perform carpentry, plumbing, and painting, duties. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. I can perform scheduled cyclic preventive maintenance and limited complexity repairs to parts, components and ancillary support mechanisms of heating equipment; air conditioning equipment; and domestic and commercial type kitchen and bakery equipment.
