For the GS-15, specialized experience includes one year of experience at the GS-14 level in Federal Service, or equivalent, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position includes:

- Serving as advisor to senior level management staff on matters related to credit policy, loan production and/or program management of government-insured or guaranteed single-family insurance programs; AND
- Supervising staff or leading a team that initiated or developed Single Family credit policies; AND
- Revising policies and procedures in response to changing federal legislation and overseeing the implementation of those revisions.
