1. I qualify at the GS-9 because:

A. I have one year of specialized experience, equivalent to GS-8 in the Federal service. I have read the vacancy announcement for examples of specialized experience to qualify for this position.

B. I have at least one full year of graduate level education leading to a Master’s degree in a field directly related to range technician fire work such as a major study in forestry, fire science or a field directly related to this position.

C. I have an equivalent combination of specialized experience and education as described in the vacancy announcement to qualify for this position. I will provide a copy of my college transcript.

D. I do not have the education or experience described above.

2. I have a minimum of 90 days of wildland firefighting experience. Wildland firefighting experience is defined as on-the-line wildland firefighting experience gained through containment, control, suppression, or use of wildland fire. Wildland fire is defined as any non-structure fire that occurs in the wildland. The two types of wildland fire are wildfire and prescribed fire. (See announcement for further definition):
