Experience with the principles, processes, and techniques of operational hydrology.

Predict, evaluate, or model the impacts of water diversion and river management on the downstream environment.

Use statistical analysis for hydrologic data such as flood frequency analysis, geo-statistical analysis, regional analysis, or time-series analysis.

Develop and oversee forecast-based decision support services during potentially hazardous weather and/or flooding events.

Use computer-based modeling technology in regards to meteorological and hydrologic forecast operations.

Calibrate and implement hydrologic or hydraulic modeling systems using hydrologic or hydraulic expertise for new forecast points.

Conduct weather and water watches involving real-time monitoring of hydrometeorological data.

Use observed real-time data to adjust state variables in models to improve future runoff and river simulations.

Utilize state-of-the-art hydro-meteorological automated data systems.

Analyze incoming real-time hydrologic data for consistency and processing it into an on-site operational hydrologic modeling system.

Use hydrologic forecast process and techniques to predict river levels.
14.
Maintain frequent consultation and coordination with stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of a hydrological forecast program.

Advise forecasters and interns on daily forecast operations.

Provide on the job training on daily forecast operations and long-range forecast operations to forecasters and interns.

Utilize in-depth expertise to train and assist with procedure development projects.
