This position is on an Intermittent Work Schedule which is a schedule that requires an employee to work an irregular number of hours or days for which there is no prearranged scheduled tour of duty, and with compensation only for the time actually employed or for services actually rendered.

Do you understand that NDMS intermittent employees serve on a rotational on-call schedule and deploy as intermittent federal employees when ASPR activates them in a declared federal emergency response or as part of a national special security event? A response mission is typically up to 14 days with a possibility of a short extension, based on the mission. Team members must be committed to staying at the disaster site for up to two weeks. 1. Do you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade GS-12, as defined in the Qualifications section in the Job Opportunity Announcement? Your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience performing one (1) of the four (4) following duties or work assignments:

(1) Preparing equipment, personnel, and travel orders, and/or arranging transportation to support emergency response;
(2) Analyze and independently address complex issues and problems to support accurate and timely response activities;
(3) Communicate information, recommendations, and guidance to teams on logistical operations, personnel actions or tasking, equipment requirements, and travel requirements/operations to ensure program effectiveness;
(4) Assist with planning and coordinating processes and instructions for efficient implementation of supply management, resource provisioning, and/or travel support for response operations.
