Assist in developing and conducting wildlife censuses and surveys that may include small/large mammals, birds, fishes, herptiles, etc.

Conduct wildlife population assessments using surveys and acoustic monitoring technology.
6.
Following accepted protocols, safely capture wildlife to collect biological samples for health assessments.
7.
Perform wildlife trap transects, wildlife cameras surveys, grid surveys, etc. to monitor and assess wildlife (threats, endangerment, nuisance, relocation/etc.).
8.
Apply basic knowledge of ecology, behavior and habitats to wildlife in Eastern North America.
9.
Use global positioning systems/GPS to record and navigate to geographical locations in the field.
10.
Use the internet to access natural resource information, references, and conduct literature searches.
11.
Contribute basic information for writing biological science and resource management reports, field reports and science communication.
12.
Create informational material for park staff or the public related to wildlife management using a variety of media.
13.
Contribute information for and assist in preparing environmental compliance reports and documents for wildlife reviews.
14.
Communicate controversial information to the public.
15.
Provide instruction/guidance to others on wildlife management principles and human-wildlife interactions.
16.
Provide instruction/guidance to others on the safely managing wildlife including containment/removal/ relocation.
17.
