I am able to direct others in providing feed and liquids to animals including aquatic animals used in research or experiments. I have the ability to provide care to animals based on the needs and circumstances of the animal such as administering medicine or feeding specific diets. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.

B. I have the ability to perform the full range of animal caretaker duties. I am able to provide feed or liquids to animals including aquatic animals or provide care to them based on the needs and circumstances of the animal such as administering medicine or feeding specific diets. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.

C. I have the ability to perform common animal caretaker duties. I am able to provide feed or liquids to animals or provide care to them based on needs of the animal. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

D. I have the ability to perform simple animal caretaker duties such as providing feeds to animals with close supervision.

E. I have not performed the animal care duties described above.
