Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes leading staff in the principles and practices of clinical chemistry, special chemistry toxicology, to test and measure drugs of abuse and metabolites in humans (e.g., urine, blood, other body fluids) performing high pressure liquid and gas chromatography, time of flight and triple quadruple mass spectrometry; conducting training, course planning, and development for pathology residents/students/laboratory staff; developing data, analyzing, and advising/recommending process improvements of work methods/procedures; and evaluating new instrumentation developed for scientific capabilities for clinical/addiction treatment programs, preparing written contract, cost analysis, and recommendation of new instrumentation.
