1. In this part, you will be asked about your education or experience in meeting the basic qualifications for the GS-0800 series. Please read all responses prior to making your selection, then select the answer that accurately reflects your qualifications

A. I have a degree professional engineering. To be acceptable, the curriculum must: (1) be in a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics

2. In addition to meeting the basic educational requirement, you must also meet specialized experience requirements. I have one or more years of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (or private sector equivalent) performing the following duties independently, as a regular part of the job. Examples of specialized experience include but are not limited to: Formulation of complex engineering planning, design and/or construction of agricultural engineering conservation practices, civil engineering vegetative practices, or civil engineering structural practices that address: natural resource protection, storm water management, waste management systems, irrigation efficiencies and/or water quality protection; and/or Coordinating and conducting agricultural or civil engineering quality control and/or quality assurance procedures through site investigations, site inspections, and feasibility studies and recommending changes when necessary.
