1. Which of the following statements best describes your experience which qualifies you for the Human Resources Assistant, GS-203, grade 5?

A. I have at least one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-04 level or comparable pay band in the Federal service) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience will include: (1) completing assignments consisting of related steps and processes and using judgment in selecting guidelines and procedures from among several specific references.

B. I have four years (120 semester hours) of education above the high school level from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.

C. I have less than a full year of experience described in A and I have less than a full year of education described in B; however, my combined experience and education beyond the first 60 semester hours of college, equal 100% of the required qualification for GS-05. (For example, an applicant who has 90 semester hours of education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position. A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education.

D. I do not have the experience described above in (A), education in (B), or combination in (C) and therefore I am not qualified for this position.

Specialized experience for this position is defined as: (1) assisting with employee benefits programs; (2) recruitment and staffing processes: (3) data systems; AND (4) records and processing personnel actions.

B. I do not have specialized experience as described in A, above. Therefore, I am not qualified for grade GS-6.

3. Which of the following statements best describes your experience which qualifies you for the Human Resources Assistant, GS-203, grade 7?

A. I have (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-06) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in federal or other service that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: (1) reviewing personnel actions for accuracy and completeness; (2) computing and establishing years of service computation dates (SCDs); (3) verifying veterans preference entitlement; AND (4) researching and providing specific information concerning HR processes and procedures pertinent to recruitment and staffing.

B. I do not have specialized experience as described in A, above. Therefore, I am not qualified for grade GS-7.
