Qualification Requirements

I meet the individual requirements for all Professional Engineering Series, 0800, including Civil Engineer because:

I have one year of specialized experience comparable in scope and complexity to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. . Examples include; Experience performing structural engineering in the design of buildings and bridges, providing technical advice and guidance on structural engineering aspects of projects, developing solutions for structural engineering problems not readily treated by conventionally accepted methods, performing field investigations to verify and document existing structural conditions as a basis for the design of facility projects, providing structural engineering support including quality assurance on designs completed by others and active construction projects and supporting engineering projects or programs in a team environment.

License: The incumbent of this position must hold a professional engineering (PE) license to provide designs, recommendations, and technical support that safeguards life, health, and property.

The incumbent must have the FAC-COR credential or be able to obtain within 12 months of taking position. FAC-COR is Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI), Federal Acquisition Certification - Contracting Officer Representative.
