1. To be eligible for a Human Resources Specialist, GS-0201-09/11/12 position, candidates must meet the following basic requirement(s) as described by one of the following methods. Please select the option that applies to you:

A. I currently possess one year of specialized experience requiring knowledge of and/or skill in applying basic HR concepts, laws, principles, policies, methods, practices and/or HR systems. Such experience may be gained in administrative, professional, technical or other responsible work positions in the public (i.e., Government or military) or private sector. This experience must be equivalent to at least the GS-4 level of the Federal Government.

B. I’ve successfully completed the requirements for and received a bachelor’s degree (or higher).

C. I possess 6 months of general experience, equivalent to at least the GS-04 level of the Federal Government, requiring knowledge of and/or skill in applying laws, regulations, rules, principles, policies, methods, practices, supporting customers, communicating in writing and/or verbally and using various computer systems and office equipment in administrative, professional, technical or other responsible work positions, plus the possession of one of the four training criteria as described in Method 3 here

D. My experience/education is not described above.

B. I have been awarded a master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B. or J.D.) from an accredited college or university, or I have completed two full years (36 semester hours or 54 quarter hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. This graduate degree or education demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work for this position. NOTE: Your application must include an official or unofficial copy of graduate level transcripts that demonstrate this information if this response is selected.

C. I have less than the one year of specialized experience as described in response "A" above, and I have less than the full amount of graduate education as described in response "B" above. However, when combined, they equal at least 100% of the total requirement.

I have been awarded a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree (such as an LL.M.) from an accredited college or university, or I have completed three full years (54 semester hours or 81 quarter hours) of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. This graduate degree or education demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to do the work for this position. B. Graduate level degree or higher AND three years of progressive specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level.
