  • Ability to develop recommendations for alternative controls, procedures, and/or protective equipment relative to the prevention or management of harmful exposures.
  • Knowledge to identify and/or quantify a variety of chemical agents (e.g., gases, dusts, fumes, mists); physical agents (e.g., noise, temperature extremes); biological agents (e.g., fungi) and ergonomic factors.
  • Ability to gather information to prepare reports of finds, to include recommendations for corrections.
  • Ability to perform complex computations/investigations, and apply theories and formulas typical in the scientific calculations of the industrial hygiene profession.
