6. Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Units (Ward 7 and 6C): RN duties include nursing assessment and direct patient care for Veterans ranging in age from early adult hood to geriatric years who require acute psychiatric stabilization on one of two secured inpatient units. (limit characters)
7. Outpatient Mental Health Division: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct patient care, screening and evaluation of behavioral consults, triage of secure messaging, phone calls, for Veterans receiving outpatient mental health services and assessment and triage of vets who seek walk-in/urgent mental health care.

8. Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Program (MHRRTP): Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct patient care, assessment, planning and evaluations, use of medical equipment and medication management for Veterans admitted to one of three residential units.

9. Community Living Center Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation unit: (CLC/SR) provides compassionate care to Veterans from young adult to geriatric years with sufficient functional impairment that require a level of service and skill available in the CLC/SR. Veterans with chronic stable conditions requiring rehabilitation or short-term specialized services are served in the CLC/SR. The nurse provides direct and indirect care to patients receiving these services, helping the Veteran return to an independent level of functioning. (limit characters)

20. Med/Surg (3A): 3A is a Medical Surgical floor focusing on the pre and post-operative care of surgical patients undergoing surgery in specialties that include, but not limited to, Urology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, GI, Women's Health Services and General Surgery. 3A also supports the medicine service for cases of general medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, co-morbidities, palliative care, hospice, wound care and cardiac care. These patients range from 17 through the geriatric years. (limit characters)
21. Medicine (5A): provides and directs care for patients generally ranging in age from 17 through the geriatric years, taking into consideration diagnoses and physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs. The 5A units is an inpatient med-surg unit with a medicine care focus. These patient are complex and acutely ill with wide variety of medical problems, diseases and co-morbidities typically requiring a minimum 5-7 day admission (or longer). Those patients may include one or more diagnosis related to internal medicine, cardiac, psychiatric, post-operative, palliative care, hospice, and rehabilitation patients. (limit characters)
22. 5D Telemetry: provides appropriate age-specific care for patients ranging in age from 17 through the geriatric years, taking into consideration diagnosis and physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural needs. 5D Telemetry is an inpatient Medical Surgical Unit with a Cardiac focus and houses the centralized Telemetry Monitoring Station for the facility. 5D Telemetry patient population primarily includes those with signs and symptoms of cardiac disease including angina, cardiac arrhythmias, Heart Failure, and Coronary Artery Disease. Additional common diagnoses include syncope, electrolyte imbalance, ETOH withdrawal, and stroke. (limit characters)
23. Pre & Post-Operative Care (ASU/PACU): provides care for Veterans ranging in age from early adulthood to geriatric years. As part of the Peri-Operative experience, the ASU/PACU nursing staff complete pre-operative assessments and prepare the Veteran for their surgical procedures as well as the post-operative recovery of each Veteran from General Anesthesia and sedation. 24. Emergency Department (ED): provide care for Veterans ranging in age from young adult hood to geriatric years who arrive to the hospital in need of immediate care; including rapid triage, stabilization of emergent situations, care of the mentally ill patient, and any other acute care for the diverse Veteran population seeking urgent and emergent help (at the ED level). Operating Room (OR): duties include nursing assessment and direct care for Veterans ranging in age from early adulthood to geriatric years who require elective, urgent, or emergent surgical interventions for procedures ranging from simple to complex in all specialties except pediatrics. Step Down Unit (SDU)/Progressive Care: RN duties include nursing assessment and direct patient care for Veterans ranging in age from early adult hood to geriatric years experiencing acute, serious, and complex illnesses requiring continual monitoring. The nurse provides direct and indirect nursing care to critically ill patients by assessing patient status, determining priorities, identifying nursing needs and therapeutic objectives, and evaluating outcomes. 27. Medical and Surgical Intensive Care Units (MICU/SICU) - Inpatient critical care RN's provide care for Veterans ranging in age from early adulthood to geriatric years experiencing acute, serious and complex illnesses which are life-threatening and require continual monitoring. Duties include planning, administering and evaluation of nursing care while quickly responding to changes in patient status. (limit characters)
28. Cardiology and Cath Lab: This position is responsible for working in Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology & Noninvasive Cardiology Labs. Will assist in the intake & post procedure recovery in the Clinical Procedure Center. Responsibilities include but are not limited to patient/family education, pre, intra & post-procedure care & assessments. (limit characters)
29. Gastroenterology or Endoscopy (GI Studies): Duties include nursing assessment and direct care for Veterans ranging in age from early adulthood to geriatric years who require elective, urgent, or emergent endoscopic procedures, including but not limited to, upper and lower endoscopy, Motility, 24 hour PH studies, Paracentesis, Lactulose breathe testing. 30. Surgical Services: A high acuity, high volume multi-functional service comprised of 14 different sections that service all Veterans for pre-operative and post-operative care. (limit characters)
31. Spinal Cord Injury Unit: This unit provides a coordinated life-long continuum of services for Veterans with a spinal cord injury or disorders through each phase of life. (limit characters)
32. Dialysis/Continuous Veno-Venous Hemodialysis (CVVHD): This unit serves renal failure patients in the acute hospital as well as chronic outpatient settings. (limit characters)
33. Medicine Sub-Specialty Clinics: Clinics include but are not limited to: Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Renal, Rheumatology, Pulmonary, Geriatrics, and Sleep Studies. Community Care: Provides direct support to the Non-VA Care program in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and evaluating the effectiveness of program components and services to improve the quality of patient care and the appropriateness and timeliness of services provided. 35. Infusion Clinic: The Continuous Infusion Clinic is an outpatient clinic operating Monday through Friday 0800-1630. The clinic provides infusion treatments to all specialty services within the health care system with the majority of services being chemotherapies and immunotherapies. (limit characters)

Float Pool (position is PRN/Intermittent): The RN is directly responsible for the provision of direct patient care and for the delivery of quality nursing care to a culturally diverse population with complex needs. Must possess the knowledge and skills of all aspects of the nursing process within a collaborative and interdisciplinary practice setting.
