1. This position is open to applicants Area 1, 2 and 3 applicants. What is your current area of consideration?

AREA 1: Current permanent and indefinite technicians of the Nebraska Army or Air National Guard; and current Title 5 employees of the Nebraska Military Department who are military members of the Nebraska National Guard.
AREA 2: All Drill Status/M-Day members and temporary technicians of the Nebraska Air or Army National Guard.
AREA 3: Current military service members who are willing and eligible to become members of the Nebraska Air or Army National Guard.
AREA 4: All qualified candidates eligible and willing to become a member of the Nebraska National Air or Army National Guard prior to the effective date of hire.

1. Do you posses experience or training which demonstrates knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and is able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work. (limit characters)
2. Do you posses 18 months experience or training performing research, review, analysis and inspection tasks on the full scope of components, assemblies of ammunition and explosive items, in the receipt, issuance, demilitarization, and re-inspection, operation, and cleaning of weapons, and ammunitions. Knowledge of the ammunition as well as ammunition operations is required at the expert level. Assemblies and components are inspected, repaired, and issued to meet established rigid specifications and require adherence to close tolerances. Guidance material for most ammunition is complicated, requires interpretation and may require modification by the inspector. (limit characters)

3. Knowledge of various codes of federal regulations (Department of Transportation (DOT) and Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA). (limit characters)
4. Ability to respond to unforeseen or emergency situation and be able to make immediate responses to emergency situations, determine the correct course of action to mitigate the problem. (limit characters)
5. Knowledge of ammunition/explosives technical references, procedures and policies, materials handling equipment, and lifting gear, rail and truck characteristics/capabilities. (limit characters)
6. Ability to interpret and apply load drawings technical inspections procedures, publications, specifications and technical drawings pertaining to ammunition/explosives. (limit characters)
7. Ability to research, interpret and apply all technical information necessary to inspect each specific ammunition and explosive item, component and specialized packing material. (limit characters)
8. Ability to read and comprehend technical orders, technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and drawings, as well as communicate orally and in writing to brief and provide training. (limit characters)
9. Knowledge of the safety precautions and procedures necessary to be taken with the variety of A&E worked on. (limit characters)
10. Knowledge of detonation and burning methods and procedures for the destruction of A&E. (limit characters)
11. Knowledge of product specifications, standards, and associated requirements for preservation, packing, shipping and storage to ensure product quality, safety, and protection of the environment. (limit characters)
12. Ability to recognize the various munitions and explosives so as to apply the proper procedure for inspecting. (limit characters)
13. Ability to recognize weather and other conditions that affect explosive operations and to select the alternate procedures necessary under such conditions. (limit characters)
14. Knowledge of operating procedures and safety regulations and procedures applicable to firing range activities. (limit characters)
15. Skill in the operation of the full variety of machines and tools in operations. (limit characters)
16. Skill in the maintenance and minor repair of machines, tools, and equipment used in ammunition maintenance. (limit characters)
