Responsible, in a training capacity, for operating GPS, levels, total stations, distance measuring devices, and other equipment used in cadastral survey as well as geodetic and engineering survey work.

Check and compile field survey data and make appropriate mathematical computations for traverse closures.

Conduct field surveys of limited difficulty to establish property boundaries, rights-of-way, and/or geodetic control for mapping and/or road construction, under close supervision.

Under the authority of a licensed land surveyor, conducts land surveys in support of project management.
15.
Consult with Registrar of Deeds, County Surveyors, other Registered Land Surveyors, property owners, Government officials, and all other sources, for record information of previous surveys or other data which affect or could affect the location of Agency property lines.

Ensure surveys follow State and Federal regulations, standards, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
17.
Perform duties, as a student or trainee, which familiarize the applicant to basic land surveying principles.
18.
Prepare plats and other documents associated with land surveys for review by a senior land surveyor.

Perform cadastral, geodetic, rights-of-way, and/or engineering surveys.
20.
Provide technical assistance and/or guidance to management and staff personnel on problems involving boundary and ownership disputes.

Review submitted plats and other exhibits to ensure they meet legal and Agency/company policies and guidelines.
