2. To qualify for the GS-7 Supervisory Medical Support Assistant position, you need to have at least one (1) year of experience at the next lower grade (GS-6) in federal service or the equivalent in the private sector.

**Experience would include the ability to provide the full range of administrative and supervisory duties which includes assignment of work, performance evaluations, selection of staff, and recommendation of awards and/or advancements. You must have the ability to collaborate, communicate, and demonstrate customer service and interpersonal skills with all healthcare professionals to ensure quality/continuity of care and ensure compliance with established policies and regulations. The ability to provide briefings, orientations, staff development and training. And, the ability to delegate authority, evaluate, and oversee people and programs, accomplish program goals, and adapt to changing priorities.**
