1. Do you have one year of specialized experience as stated in the vacancy announcement to qualify for the CU-09 grade level? All applicants applying for the CU-09 grade level must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-08 grade level obtained in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience is defined as experience in all of the following:
1) Providing technical advice to staff and management on a variety of staffing and recruitment topics;
2) Experience working in a Human Resources Information System to prepare and process a variety of personnel actions such as appointments, reassignments, promotions, and corrections.
3) Preparing vacancy announcements in an automated staffing system such as USAStaffing; and
4) Facilitating employee onboarding programs.

Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree (including LL.B. or J.D., if related). Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
