5. Performs duties involving space planning, design, and alterations to new and existing space. (limit characters)
6. Designs workflow diagrams and layout drawings showing locations of furniture, equipment, tele/data and power outlets, aisles, doors, etc., to develop an economical use of pace, equipment, and manpower. (limit characters)

Conducts surveys dealing with such items as heating, air conditioning, sound proofing partitions, fire-rated partitions (slab-to-slab), major changes to lighting, installation or removal of partitions, wall-mounted thermostats, ceiling speakers, etc., finishes (paint, carpet, floor, base, etc.) and electrical requirements for normal office functions, as well as specialized equipment, to include surveys assessing furniture types and dimensions. 8. Surveys and inspects existing space generated from a renovation request to obtain the maximum/efficient use of space within prescribed guidelines. (limit characters)
9. Directs the priorities of projects and measures progress toward reaching objectives effectively and economically. (limit characters)
10. Provides recommendations and plans for the general reduction or expansion of office space to accommodate both present needs and those that will arise in the future due to program and personnel reduction or expansion. (limit characters)
11. Provides primary advice and assistance to officials in identifying and resolving workflow and layout problems resulting from program changes, ineffective layout, and personnel expansion. (limit characters)
12. Participates in space planning meetings with Office Directors, Move Coordinators, Space Planners and GSA officials dealing with space planning and alterations involving reconstruction of existing space to resolve discrepancies or changes in the floor plans. (limit characters)
13. Develops budget costs and functional requirements and prepares scope for new projects. (limit characters)
14. Develops and/or reviews designs and estimated costs of construction or renovation projects, providing expert professional advice on the construction management, project administration, and project scheduling stages. (limit characters)
15. Writes tasks using appropriate obligation funding information and GSA reimbursable work authorizations to provide for alterations. (limit characters)
16. Coordinates work and prepares contracts requiring action for funding from Budget and Finance. (limit characters)
17. Develops and delivers briefings through oral, written, and visual methods to a variety of audiences, including but not limited to senior management and customers. (limit characters)
18. Coordinate tenant alteration requests with appropriate lessors, GSA, customers, and outside contractors. (limit characters)
19. Participates in seminars and other training, in order to provide advice and assistance to employees and members of the staff. (limit characters)
20. Performs as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) responsible for communication with the contractor, and the inspection, review, and verification of contractors' work efforts, reports, plans and invoices for the organization's contracts. (limit characters)
