A. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex duties of an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic including maintaining and repairing a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in offices, laboratories, and commercial facilities. I have the ability to interpret and follow wiring, gas line and electrical diagrams in shop manuals; and use hand tools such as manifold gauge sets, snips and shears, pipe wrenches and pliers and test equipment for maintenance and repair of air conditioning equipment. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.

B. I have the ability to perform the full range of Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic duties including maintaining and repairing a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in offices, laboratories, and commercial facilities. I have the ability to interpret and follow wiring, gas line and electrical diagrams in shop manuals; and use hand tools. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.

C. I have the ability to perform common Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic duties including maintaining and repairing a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

D. I have the ability to perform simple Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic duties including performing maintenance on a variety of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems with close supervision.
