This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Are you willing to undergo pre-employment and recurring investigations to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance as required?

This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health & ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. This position requires a license to operate fork lifts up to 50,000 pounds lift capacity within 30 days of appointment. Are you able and willing to obtain a fork lift license and maintain the license for the duration of employment?

Operate trucks and tractor-trailer combinations with a rated capacity of up to 30 tons.

Operate a variety of other vehicles such as box truck with forklift trailer, 5/6 ton flats, and forklifts.

Perform operator maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are safe and efficient.
5.
Operate a variety of vehicle types adhering to all state, local and installation traffic laws and ordinances.

Complete trip tickets to include reporting of equipment failures.
7.
Complete and submit documents such as Ammunition Transfer Records (ATR) and Material Release Orders (MRO).
8.
Stack and/or palletize items according to condition code, lot number and compatibility.
9.
Perform assignments in accordance with safety, security and other applicable procedures and requirements.
10.
Follow instructions on the safe handling and movement of a variety of ammunition, explosives, missiles and components.
11.
Select the appropriate method of packing to ensure proper shipping of material.
12.
Determine proper arrangement and load capacity by computing the size, weight, and quantity of items.
13.
Operate forklifts to move, load, unload, transfer, stack, unstack, and palletize items in a safe manner.
14.
Transport material over public roads and highways including congested areas.
15.
Couple/uncouple truck tractor and semi-trailer to include connecting/disconnecting air brakes and electrical lines.
16.
Perform driving maneuvers to position vehicles such as correct turning radius and backing of trailer into loading docks and between trailers.
17.
Re-warehouse high explosives, munitions, missiles, and rockets utilizing safe handling methods for hazardous materials.
18.
Load and unload cargo according to designated standards.
19.
Check items received against the accompanying condition of packaging.
20.
Inspect seals and other protective material to ensure adequate protection of items.
21.
Ensure shipping containers are marked in accordance with required standards such as 49 CFR, Military Standard 129, etc.
