A. I have a year or more of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-06 level in federal service that is defined as using Computer Aided Drawing software to update technical drawings from sketches.

B. I have successfully completed one full year of graduate level education leading to a master's degree, including any combination of courses such as engineering, engineering or industrial technology, construction, physics, drafting, surveying, physical science, or mathematics (or equivalent). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

C. I have the specialized experience described in A, but less than one year; and the education described in B, but less than one year. I have computed the percentage of the requirements that I meet, and the total is at least 100%. [To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your graduate semester hours by 18. Add the two percentages. The total must equal at least 100% to qualify.] (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

2. Select the statement that best describes the education and/or experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of an Engineering Technician at the GS-08 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have a year or more of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 level in federal service that is defined as experience in developing and presenting written technical and non-technical information to document findings and recommendations, and experience using Computer Aided Drawing programs to create basic drawings of equipment and facilities.

B. I have one and a half years (27 semester hours) of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management, or related field of study. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).

D. I have the experience as described in "A" AND the education described in "B". (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

E. My experience and/or education is not reflected in any of the above statements.

3. Select the statement that best describes the education and/or experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of an Engineering Technician at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have a year or more of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-08 level in federal service that is defined as using an electronic document management system to catalog, file, and organize engineering documents, developing and presenting written technical and non-technical information to document findings and recommendations, and using Computer Aided Drawing programs to create and update drawings of hydroelectric equipment and facilities.

B. I have a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management; or I have two full years of graduate level education leading to such a degree.

D. I have the experience as described in "A" AND the education described in "B". (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

E. My experience and/or education is not reflected in any of the above statements.
