Eligibilities

Military Criteria

Are you currently a member of the Virginia Army National Guard, employed with 116th IN BN?

Are you currently an Enlisted Member (E4/SPC-E7/SFC) in the Virginia Army National Guard?

Accepting a Title 32 Federal Technician position disqualifies you from continued receipt of any bonuses that you either currently may be entitled to or may be entitled to in the future while you are employed as a Title 32 Federal Technician including the Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP). Also, Federal Technicians cannot use Tricare.

Do you have experience providing continuous maintenance and logistical information to the Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System Operating Facility (TUASOF) commander and staff on aviation and aviation-related systems matters?

Do you have at least 36 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-10 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the WS grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as:
- Experience overseeing the initial integration counseling event that includes but is not limited to the Aircrew Maintenance Training Program (AMTP), hangar orientation, local area orientation, basic expectations, and TUASOF responsibilities.
- Experience ensuring the unmanned aircraft is flight worthy and is current on maintenance servicing and inspections.
- Experience conducting inspections of all TUASOF shops by random sampling or directed inspections while work is in progress.
- Experience providing technical assistance on all UAS maintenance matters to UAS operators, UAS maintenance crews or contractor support personnel.
