This position is subject to recall 24/7 and the employee is required to work shifts; days off vary. Are you willing to accept this requirement?

The employee must obtain and maintain International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) and EMD-Quality (EMD-Q) Improvement Specialist certification within 270 day days of entry on duty. Are you willing to meet this requirement?

There is potential for the employee to be exposed to extremely high levels of mental and emotional stress due to the nature incoming calls and incidents, emergency nature of the work, the rigid time constraints for response actions, the emotional state of the persons calling for service, and the nature and consequences of the decisions the employee is required to make.
