Thank you for your interest in a Maintenance Worker/Maintenance Mechanic position with Department of the Army. Your resume and the responses you provide to this assessment questionnaire will be used to determine if you are among the best qualified for this position. Your responses are subject to verification. 1. From the descriptions below, select the appropriate response based on your level of experience, education, and/or training, that you fully possess and that demonstrates your ability to perform Maintenance Worker/Maintenance Mechanic duties without more than normal supervision.

A. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex duties such as carpentry work, masonry work, plumbing, painting, and maintenance/repair of automotive equipment. I am skilled in installing and repairing various water systems. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.

B. I have the ability to perform the full range of duties such as carpentry work, plumbing, painting, and maintenance/repair of automotive equipment. I am skilled in maintenance/repair of automotive equipment. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.

C. I have the ability to perform some tasks including carpentry work, plumbing, painting, and maintenance/repair of automotive equipment. I can construct, alter, repair, and/or modify framework, doors, windows, and trim; perform plumbing work such as installing pipes; paint indoor and outdoor surfaces; and/or maintain or repair automotive equipment such as air conditioning systems or heating systems. I work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion.

D. I have the ability to perform common duties such as carpentry work and painting. I can construct, alter, repair, and/or modify framework, doors, windows, and trim and paint indoor and outdoor surfaces. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

E. I have the ability to perform simple duties such as carpentry or I have received training on carpentry and the use of basic hand tools.

F. I do not possess the abilities described above.
