6. Manage the composition of clear and accurate photo/graphic captions, and selection of artwork, color palettes, photographs and/or other visual material that result in communication products that meet Section 508 Accessibility requirements for usability by individuals with disabilities.

7. Determine project's visual communications goals for specific external audiences and explore/recommend appropriate creative options to fulfill those goals.

8. Use advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite to create detailed illustrations, layout, photo retouches, animations, web and broadcast-quality graphics, and production-ready files for professionally printed material.

9. Lead continuous improvement efforts related to digital storytelling and design including research, analysis, and recommendations for tools and strategies that will streamline processes, ensure Section 508 Accessibility standards and deliver a better visual experience to all audiences.

10. Advise on production standards -- especially Section 508 Accessibility and usability requirements -- for visual storytelling products used for different audiences and mediums (e.g., website, social channels, slide presentations and print projects).

11. Develop concepts, layouts and designs through frequent coordination with subject matter experts to create visual products that tell the agency's story mission and areas of scientific focus.
