Eligibilities
1.
In order to qualify for a lateral transfer, you must be a current full-time Tennessee National Guard PERMANENT on-board employee, in the same pay grade or higher and meet the qualification requirements for the position with the same salary range. Example: If the announcement is for a WG-5801-10 and you are:
a. currently in a WG-5801-10/WG-5801-(higher grade, WL/WS) position, and
b. you are a PERMANENT technician (Tenure 1, Tenure 2)
you are eligible to request a lateral.
***Tenure 0 and Tenure 3 (both temporary), are NOT eligible to lateral.

May repair a variety of more complex major systems to include engines, cross drive or similar multi-system transmissions and a variety of intricate fuel injection systems.

Determines what adjustments may be necessary to complete work orders, and whether any additional repairs other than those specified or indicated on the work order are necessary.

May be required to perform fuel injection equipment repair, overhaul, rebuild, and calibration duties utilizing a variety of complex test and calibration equipment.

May inspect in-process repair work of lower graded repairer to ensure equipment is being repaired in accordance with pertinent requirements.
