2. GS-04: MIT (Basic Developmental Level) None beyond the basic requirement. Do you meet the basic requirements that are listed above in Question 1? (limit characters)
3. GS-05: (Basic Developmental Level)
Do you possess at least 1 year of experience equivalent to the GS-04 level? Examples of experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level include but are not limited to six months in medically related fields such as nursing assistant, practical nursing & the remaining six months of experience operating diagnostic/therapeutic equipment. Experience gained in the operation of equipment for animal diagnosis or treatment may be credited at this level.

4. GS-06: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, do you possess at least 1 year of experience equivalent to the GS-05 level & the KSAs listed below? Examples of the GS-05 grade level include but are not limited to operating & monitoring equipment by performing routine procedures under normal supervision. You must also demonstrate the following:
• Ability to recognize special patient needs such as disabilities, impaired mobility, & complicating medical conditions in order to prepare & position the patient for the prescribed procedure.
• Knowledge of the specialized equipment & accessories appropriate to Holter monitoring & ability to perform such tests.
• Knowledge of universal precautions and sterilization techniques & ability to follow CDC guidelines in cleaning equipment.
• Ability to monitor the patient for adverse reactions & take appropriate action.
• Ability to operate the equipment to perform standard & routine highly specialized procedures including exercise stress testing.

5. GS-07: Do you possess at least 1 year of experience equivalent to the GS-06 level & demonstrate the KSAs listed below? Examples of experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level include but are not limited receiving & interpreting physician's requests for diagnostic procedures treatments; explaining the procedure to secure the patient's confidence & cooperation; documenting patient records; independently testing & monitoring the patient for adverse reactions; operating, calibrating, sterilizing commonly used equipment. Assignments require knowledge of standard medical terminology & common diseases & their specific affects. You must also demonstrate the following:
• Knowledge of typical patient reactions & signs of distress including the ability to recognize, report & treat potentially lethal arrhythmias.
• Knowledge of common equipment settings & standardized procedures plus knowledge of common errors & corrective measures.
• Ability to modify procedures/positions to obtain the correct results with patients with complicating conditions such as amputations, Parkinson's disease, structural defects, & scar tissue.
• Ability to act as a mentor or preceptor to lower graded technicians.
• Ability to conduct in-service training on the EKG equipment & related instrumentation.
