This work includes the full gamut of types, and includes some new construction, major restoration or rehabilitation, complete stabilization, significant alteration. Ability to maintain the full range of hand and power masonry tools i.e. skill saw, electric drill, router, chainsaw, sander, table saw, jointer, radial saw, bandsaw, planer, shaper and surfacing machines.

Reconstruct, restore or rehabilitate wood structures by performing work on such elements as structural framing rafters, doors, windows, floors, staircases, trusses and beams, interior and exterior trim and roofing where accuracy, spacing and fit are essential and structural soundness.

Repair, reconstruct, restore and rehabilitate masonry structures by performing work such as stabilizing or constructing foundations, walls, chimneys, fireplace, and other building elements and stabilizing or restoring engineered structures such as bridges, stone retaining walls, using a combination of modern and historic technique

Skill in replicating antique and highly skilled forms of craftsmanship using specialized tools.

Assist with the inspection of historic structures/sites/landscapes on site to determine physical condition and the type and amount of maintenance required to maintain in proper condition.

Ability to read, interpret and apply building plans, specifications, blueprints, sketches, working drawings and building codes.
9.
Ability to compute curves, arcs, tangents, and possess advanced knowledge of carptentry and masonry skills utilizing accepted trade methods and techniques.

Follow complicated or complex oral and written instructions, building plans, specifications and blueprints to repair a wide variety of historic stone, concrete, plaster and brick walls, bridges, buildings, and reproduction of historic materials in composition, shape, color and texture.

Select appropriate materials and uses instruments and tools such as rulers, levels, try squares, transits, framing hammers and tradition masonry and carpentry tools.

Skill using a variety of hand and power tools such as trowel, float, hammer, pick, chisel, brick saw, angle grinder, and pneumatic chisel in cutting and shaping stone and repointing, resetting, and relaying masonry.

Ability to select appropriate materials and use instruments and tools such as rulers, squares, levels, transits, hammers and traditional carpentry tools.
