12. Identify and resolves problems with museum registration and accountability.

13. Use basic understanding of museum collection conservation and preservation practices to provide museum support work.

15. Monitor environmental conditions using monitoring equipment (such as dataloggers) including temperature, relative humidity, and light.

16. Handle museum collections containing hazardous materials such as arsenic and mercuric chloride (taxidermy mounts), radon (geology specimens), and nitrate negatives.

17. Differentiate between historical, biological, paleontological, and/or cultural objects and apply the proper care for each type as it applies to museum collections.

18. Perform common Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices associated with museum environments (such as traps, freezing protocols, identification of common insects and pests, etc.).

19. Assist with design, installation, repair, and rehabilitation of exhibits.

20. Identifies and labels objects by matching documentation field labels, notes, etc. with the objects.

21. Summarize and communicate research findings to museum and archives patrons.
