1. This position requires applicants to meet a Basic Education Requirement in addition to minimum qualifications in order to be found minimally qualified. Please select the description below that best describes how you meet the basic requirement for the following series. Your transcript(s) must support the response you've selected.

A. I meet the requirements of a Dietitian and Nutritionist (0630) - Bachelor’s or graduate/higher level degree in the fields of dietetics, food, nutrition, food service management, institution management, or related science. The educational program must have been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained. For dietitian positions, the curriculum must have been in accordance with the qualifying requirements established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) (formerly American Dietetic Association (ADA) prior to January 1, 2012) in effect at the time of graduation. Completion of a coordinated undergraduate program, internship, or other clinical component approved by AND (formerly ADA) for dietitians or nutritionists. Professional registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).

B. I meet the requirements of a Physiologist (0413) - Degree in one of the basic animal sciences or physiology; or a related discipline or field of science that included at least 24 semester hours in the basic animal sciences, of which 10 semester hours were in animal physiology.

C. I meet the requirements of a Chemist (1320) - Degree: physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential and integral calculus, and at least 6 semester hours of physics.

D. I do not meet the basic education requirements as described above.

Specialized experience is fulfilled by the following: Planning and conducting independent human studies research or animal model research related to the composition of diets and meals or the timing of meals to maintain health and prevent disease, or the influence of diet, dietary components (e.g. lipids, fiber), and timing of food consumption/exercise on metabolism; Managing personnel, materials, equipment, resources, and facilities needed to accomplish research goals; Presenting research results related to composition of diets and meals on health and metabolism to professional societies and others outside of the organization; Publishing independent research results related to composition of diets and meals on health and metabolism in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

B. I do not meet or exceed the specialized experience or education as described above.

B. I do not meet any of the requirements as described above.
