Manage the execution of construction and/or design contracts.

Coordinate with a variety of resource professionals (such as historical architects, archeologists, resource managers) and others to successfully complete projects and ensure overall quality.

Respond to contractor Requests for Information (RFI) to help identify potential construction and/or design conflicts in the construction drawings and/or specifications.
5.
Monitor project schedules, inspections and documentation of completed work.
6.
Develop scope of work needed to address conditions.
7.
Coordinate with contracting officer and contractor to verify and approve payments and resolve outstanding project issues.
8.
Manage construction contracts to ensure projects achieve management goals within contractual limitations.
9.
Apply knowledge of design principles, historic preservation, construction means and methods, cost estimating, construction scheduling and construction documentation.
10.
Manage the control of substantive construction, stabilization, repair, restoration, and accessibility of projects.
11.
Review as-built drawings for accuracy and inclusion of modifications.
12.
Participate in work conferences, studies with historical architects, conservators, and archeologists, in and outside of organization, to review aspects of design relating to project construction work.
13.
Review project plans and specifications prior to contract advertisement to verify proposed construction is in compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements.
14.
Organize and conduct pre-bid meetings, pre-cons, and regular project briefings to ensure construction details, and contract requirements are met.
15.
Perform final inspection, authorizes final approval for acceptance of work, and ensures all project documentation is completed and archived.
16.
Evaluate construction at all stages to identify major problems and coordinate corrective measures through design changes.
17.
Communicate with contractors to correct contract deficiencies, unacceptable building materials and/or unacceptable work performed to ensure compliance with the contract requirements.
18.
Verify that construction projects are planned, monitored, and completed within established time frames and budgets.
19.
Conduct continuing analysis to ensure that the project is meeting target dates and within cost projections.
20.
Manage contract costs and modifications to ensure adjustments to budget or initiate reprogramming recommendation are generated when appropriate.
