Performs repair, replacement and adjustment of assemblies such as power take off units, hydraulic systems, electric tailgate lifts, and electric winches for 4 wheel drive units.

Uses practical knowledge of the construction and operating characteristics of motor vehicle equipment to apply this knowledge to a variety of maintenance tasks.

Uses test equipment (e.g., test lamps, timing lights, multimeters, tachometers, dwell meters, engine analyzers, capacity testers, circuit testers, micrometers, and battery hydrometers) to locate worn or poorly adjusted parts.

Uses motor vehicle on-board computers to diagnose problems, and electronic analyzers to test automotive computer control systems and emission systems.
7.
Sets and aligns headlights and emergency equipment to specifications.
8.
Reads and interprets manuals and apply this knowledge to motor vehicle equipment repairs and maintenance.
9.
Adjusts brakes, transmission linkages, engine idle, voltage, currents control valves, sensing valves, expansion valves, and pressure regulator valves.
10.
Cleans or replaces filters, screens, battery cables, clamps, engine components, heating, and cooling devices.
11.
Flushes radiators and replaces anti-freeze solution.
12.
Performs front-end alignment on vehicles and mobile equipment.
13.
Turns brake rotors, drums, stator, replace pads, overhauls wheel, master cylinders and makes necessary adjustments.
14.
Operates tractor trailer and wrecker to provide emergency road service.
15.
Troubleshoots, repairs, and adjusts gasoline, diesel, or multifuel engines and components to ascertain the reason for malfunctions to accomplish all necessary repairs.
