Basic Requirements:
Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.
OR
Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

To qualify at CN-53, you must have one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band/grade (CN-52, GS-12 or equivalent).
For this position, specialized experience is defined as:
- Experience applying design or implementation of data science, data engineering, or data management methods; AND
- Experience developing data-driven solutions or analysis using open-source languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL, or Spark); AND
- Experience working in a collaborative environment with stakeholders, team members, or end-users on new initiatives by gathering requirements and recommending data or analytical methodologies; AND
- Experience with data management or data governance (e.g., modeling, integrating, transforming, managing operations, performance tuning, data quality, or privacy access controls).
