For the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level in the federal service or equivalent private sector, that is directly related to the position as listed above and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as having ALL of the following:

- Planning, leading, and coordinating U.S. economic sanctions actions and/or public affairs initiatives; AND
- Establishing working relationships in order to disseminate messages that address organizational programs; AND
- Preparing written and oral informational (e.g. news releases, fact sheets, reports, presentations, etc.) materials that communicate an organizations activities or programs; AND
- Developing recommendations for management for improving communication with the general public, media, or specialized groups to advance an organizations mission and objectives; AND
