Ensure the quality management processes are planned and implemented to identify, prevent and correct any unsatisfactory conditions or elements found by surveys, reviews, audits and visits from VHA, Joint Commission, OIG, VORP, AWE, CARF, CBI and other accrediting oversight external regulatory agencies.

11. Oversees the entire system of committee meeting minutes. Quality and safety processes will be mapped through the use of committee meeting minutes in accordance with all regulations within the VHA and external reviewing agencies.

12. Develop policy information to facilitate participation in important initiatives for advocacy, performance improvement and patient safety.

13. Develops new plans or schedules dependent on needs of the department and Health Care System, e.g. surveys on site, necessary travel of the QM Chief and other staff.
