Thank you for your interest in a Land Surveyor, GS-1373-12 position with Department of the Army. Your resume and the responses you provide to this assessment questionnaire will be used to determine if you are among the best qualified for this position. Your responses are subject to verification. 1. Select the one statement that best describes the education that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of Land Surveyor at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have a bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in land surveying; or civil engineering with a surveying option/emphasis. My civil engineering major included at least 6 semester hours of surveying, 3 semester hours of land law, and 21 additional semester hours in any combination of the following: surveying, photogrammetry, geodetic surveying, geodesy, route surveying, remote sensing, cartography, survey astronomy, land information systems, computer-aided mapping, aerial photo interpretation, and survey analysis and adjustments. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

B. I have a combination of education and experience which includes courses equivalent to a major in land surveying or civil engineering, as described in paragraph A, plus appropriate experience or additional education. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

C. I have a current registration as a land surveyor in a State, territory, or the District of Columbia obtained by written examination under conditions outlined in the National Council of Engineering Examiners (NCEE) Unified Model Law for Registration of Surveyors. (Note: You must attach a copy of your registration obtained based on successful completion of the written examinations.)

D. I do not possess the education described above.

2. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Select the one statement that best describes the experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of Land Surveyor at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience providing professional, technical, and administrative expertise for surveying, GIS, and mapping activities; supporting all types of field surveys including land, boundary, engineering, geodetic, cartographic, topographic, hydrographic, and ultra-precise alignment surveys etc.; provides GIS support to include survey data integration, contractor QA. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

B. My experience is not reflected in the above statement.
