This position is in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM). The mission of OBIM is to provide enduring identity services to the Department of Homeland Security and its mission partners that advance informed decision making by producing accurate, timely, and high assurance biometric and biographic identity information and analysis. The primary purpose of this position is to define, implement, and maintain a Test Automation Framework solution integrated into OBIM's Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline in support of its IT systems, including all processes, SOPs, and training associated with solution. This technical position is located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), DHS Management Division, Office of Biometric Identity Management. (limit characters)

2. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
To qualify, you must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in Federal Service or equivalent public or private sector experience. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.
For this position, specialized experience is defined as:
  • Assessing and evaluating automated test data and results; and preparing reports of findings with emphasis on the quality and integration of the automated testing components throughout the program's lifecycle.
  • Manages activities to plan, monitor, and conduct the standup and operations and maintenance of Test Automation Framework and automated testing activities of prototype, new, and modified large scale mission critical software systems.
  • Manages automated software test and evaluation activities, provides verification and validation of releases.

This is a DHS Acquisition position and will require incumbent to obtain/maintain Acquisition Certification for DHS Test and Evaluation Managers. You must have or be able to obtain a DHS Acquisition Professional Certificate Level III in Test and Evaluation within 24 months of start date.
