This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office. As part of the effort to protect the nation from weapons of mass destruction, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) threats, the CWMD Office is established as a national office within the Department of Homeland Security. The CWMD' s mission is to develop strategies to protect the country from threats, acquire and support the deployment of the domestic WMD detection system to detect and report attempts to import, transport, or use biological weapons, illicit chemical supplies, nuclear devices, and radiological and nuclear material intended for illicit use.
