Thank you for your interest in a Data Scientist, GS-1560-15 position with the Department of Justice. Your resume and the responses you provide to this assessment questionnaire will be used to determine if you are among the best qualified for this position. Your responses are subject to verification. 1. This position has a basic requirement which must be met in addition to meeting the specialized experience. Select the one statement that best describes the education and experience that you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of a Data Scientist at the GS-15 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal Service.

A. Degree: Mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. The degree must be in a major field of study (at least at the baccalaureate level) that is appropriate for the position.

B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major field of study (30 semester hours) as shown in paragraph A above, plus additional education or appropriate experience.

C. I do not meet the education and /or experience requirements described above.

2. For the GS-15 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:

Display extensive knowledge of and demonstrated experience with the principles, procedures, and tools of data science and analytics, such as modeling techniques, data dictionaries, data warehousing, data mining, data disposal, and data standardization processes. AND
Overseeing secure enterprise data analytics, including the operational use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for maximum business value.

A. I have at least one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service which includes Displaying extensive knowledge of and demonstrated experience with the principles, procedures, and tools of data science and analytics, such as modeling techniques, data dictionaries, data warehousing, data mining, data disposal, and data standardization processes. AND Overseeing secure enterprise data analytics, including the operational use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for maximum business value.

B. I do not have the experience as described in statement A above.
