A. A. I am able to perform the full range of Welder tasks which includes applying a variety of electric welding processes and equipment or the use of one or more manual welding processes; welding all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses, including dissimilar metals such as copper to steel; determining welding techniques and machine settings to be used, assembling and setting up the parts to be welded, and/or making the required welds. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.

I am able to perform some Welder tasks that include applying a variety of electric welding processes and equipment or the use of one or more manual welding processes; welding all types of commonly used metals and alloys of various sizes, shapes, and thicknesses, including dissimilar metals such as copper to steel; and/or determining welding techniques and machine settings to be used, assembling and setting up the parts to be welded, and/or making the required welds with minimal instructions and/or specifications provided. I work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion.

I am able to perform common Welder tasks including applying electric or manual welding processes; and/or determining welding techniques and machine settings to be used, assembling and setting up the parts to be welded, and/or making the required welds with instructions and/or specifications provided by a supervisor or lead. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
