This position is located in the Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Program Integration (OPI), Aviation Operations Division. Serves as the Pilot in Command and/or Co-Pilot of a 737 aircraft in support of the OST mission.
Please answer the following minimum qualification questions.
1.
Do you possess experience actively flying cargo and/or personnel in a large transport category aircraft with recency of flight in the past 12 months (100 hrs) such as flying B-737, military C-40, or similar cargo or passenger type aircraft (over 70,000 lbs.).
2.
Do you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Flying large jet aircraft as a Pilot in Command or Second in Command for an airline, cargo, military, or corporate operation. Experience also includes flight planning, weight and balance calculations and self-dispatch.
3.
To meet the basic qualification requirements for Pilot positions, you MUST possess either the appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Pilot Certificates and/or appropriate military ratings, meet the applicable flight hour requirements, and possess the knowledge and skills required for the position. What level experience do you have flying as a commercial Pilot in Command (PIC) or Military Aircraft commander in passenger/cargo aircraft? Candidates establishing eligibility based on military flight experience must provide official orders, forms, or logbooks showing their status as a rated military pilot, flight instructor, or flight examiner, as appropriate. Other certificates that meet or exceed the requirements of the Commercial Pilot Certificate are also acceptable, e.g., an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.

Have you flown an aircraft under "public aircraft operations" and/or conducted military flight operations?

Do you have experience managing aviation programs such as training, flight records, electronic flight bags, or publications?
11.
Experience in planning flight missions and working with the military/government agencies?
Risk Management - Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation, including assessment of failures and their consequences.
12.
Experience planning and administering flight safety programs. Experience with operational risk management programs and flight risk assessment tools, and associated safety programs.
13.
Reviewing and analyzing directives, regulations, accident reports, safety data and local operating conditions to determine requirements for safety programs are conducted in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and programs.
14.
Experience developing, planning for emergency response and contingency operations. (Select all that apply)
