Thank you for your interest in an IT Specialist (APPSW) NH-2210-03 position with the Department of the Army. 1. Select the one statement that best describes the IT-related experience you possess that demonstrates each of the four competencies necessary to perform IT Specialist (APPSW) work at the NH-03 pay band or equivalent grade level in the Federal Service.

A. I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2) Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND In addition to the competencies I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (NH-02/GS-11) in the Federal service which includes: 1) Participating in the software development or configuration activities of Enterprise Information Systems; 2) Identifying project/program issues arising in the software development life cycle; 3) Resolving project/program issues to enable efficient delivery of software; 4) Garnering resource cooperation across project teams to accomplish multiple project/program goals; 5) Performing Agile software development in a major Agile role such as Scrum Master, Product Owner (PO), or Release Train Engineer (RTE) for information systems.
