1. This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required. Are you willing to undergo pre-employment and recurring investigations to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance as required? 2. This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health & ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position. 3. The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Detection of the presence of drugs is warranted. 4. In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status. In the event of a crisis situation or wartime, the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations or to support combat essential systems subsequent to mobilization or an evacuation order. Additional training, medical requirements, and deployment responsibilities may apply to this position. 5. This position has been designated "Mission Essential". This position requires frequent visits and temporary duty at field sites as well as deployment and participation in military exercises in a variety of environments, which requires walking, standing, and carrying of items up to 40 pounds. Must be able to lift a weight of 50 pounds 4 feet high and carry the load 10 feet while in protective clothing; climb 10 feet high and push and pull 120 pounds 3 feet; stand continuously for two hours; have normal finger dexterity in both hands and normal color vision.
