SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-13:

You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Some examples of qualifying specialized experience:
  • Experience applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques in developing new procedures or approaches, both qualitative and quantitative, and/or management and organizational principles to apply to NRP examination programs, projects and studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of operations and means to improve them.
  • Experience applying, developing, or modifying work methods, organizational structures, records and files, work management processes, procedures to administer program services, guidelines and procedures, and automated work processes for program operations.
  • Experience with planning, organizing and carrying through to completion substantive analytical NRP examination studies or projects data to identify trends and resolve problems and improve effectiveness of work operations (program or program support) in several locations or organizations such as SB/SE field, SB/SE Campus, and LB&I.
  • Experience with the IRS mission, functions, and organizational structure and knowledge of pertinent UNAX laws, policies, regulations, IRMs, and directives as well as organizational specific directives, programs, and missions related to the management operations area in order to analyze their impact on programs.
  • Experience working with management principles and processes to perform administrative, project, and program management duties and to effectively coordinate and integrate objectives and provide recommendations.
