This job opportunity announcement is open to current, permanent Army employees that would occupy the position under a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE). You are eligible in this category if you fall into one of the following:

• ARMY CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES SERVING ON A PERMANENT APPOINTMENT. You must submit a copy of your most recent SF-50, Notification of Personnel Action. Block 24 of your SF-50 must be a "1" or "2" AND block 34 must be a"1." Army employees can access their SF-50 at: MyBiz.

• ARMY CIVILIAN EMPLOYEES SERVING ON AN EXCEPTED SERVICE VETERANS RECRUITMENT APPOINTMENT (VRA). If you are eligible in this category, you are required to submit an SF-50 showing current Army Excepted Service VRA appointment (block 24 must be a "1" or "2" AND block 34 must be a"2.").

A. I have the ability to perform the most difficult and complex tasks of an Ammunition Inspector including using calibrating instruments to conduct quality assurance operations that detect visual anomalies and mechanical deviancies. I am skilled in interpreting technical material to ensure inspection criteria is fulfilled in accordance with safe operations for ammunition logistics. I have inspected ammunition for degradation. I have a high level of experience using automated logistic systems. I can perform mechanical and physical test on ammunition and their components. Knowledge of all stages of inspection techniques for munitions for quality standards.

B. I have the ability to perform the full range of duties as an Ammunition Inspector with responsibilities to perform visual inspections and mechanical tests on equipment. I am skilled in identifying different types of munitions and disassembly of munitions rendering them unsuitable for its original purpose. I have experience with all stages of ammunition logistics. I have some experience with automated logistic systems. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.

C. I have the ability to perform common Ammunition Inspector tasks including, accountability and packaging operations. I can perform mechanical and physical tests on equipment. I have a knowledge of different types of munitions. I have limited experience with automated logistic systems. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.

D. I have the ability to perform simple Ammunition Inspector tasks including palletization and storage operations or I have received training on the safe handling, storage and or movement of ammunition and explosives. I can perform simple mechanical and physical tests on equipment. I have limited computer experience.

E. I do not possess the abilities described above.
