Minimum Qualifications Requirements: Please select the appropriate answer to the following questions based on your current level of experience that demonstrates your ability to perform the duties of a Government Information Specialist, GS-12 position. (limit characters)
1. GS-12 Grade Level: Do you have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service that includes experience as a Privacy/FOIA officer developing a local level strategy for data governance, which includes leading from the executive office and creating a unique program that includes diverse processes and specific policies which are independent of other facilities? Developing the local privacy strategy that integrates the Medical Center or Healthcare System with data governance program goals, national strategic priorities and VA core values. Independently performing in-depth legal research that pertains to both federal and state statutes to render expertise, providing solutions and facilitate corrective action? Reviewing federal court determinations and pertinent case law to make determinations in Privacy, FOIA and other health care related matters that involve the agency and coordinating with the Office of Chief Counsel in the District to help protect Government interests regarding privacy and FOIA when legal ramifications exist?
