Thank you for your interest in the Contract Specialist with the National Nuclear Security Administration. These responses must be supported by your resume. PLEASE NOTE: You must meet the basic requirement AND provide your transcripts to be considered for this position.

1. The Contract Specialist, 1102 Series, has an Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR), which outlines the Basic Requirements which must be met for this position. From the options below, select the one response which describes your education.

A. I have completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field.

B. I have at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management.

C. I qualify based on the 1102 series exception of currently occupying a GS-12 or NQ-02 position in the 1102 series since January 1, 2000, without a break in service (SF-50s must be submitted).

D. I do not meet any of the requirements above.

2. From the options below please choose the answer that demonstrates how meet the specialized experience for the Contract Specialist position.

A. I have one full year of specialized experience equivalent in responsibility and scope to the NQ-01 pay band or GS-07 level that includes at least three of the following: 1) performing detailed analysis of proposals received in order to determine reasonableness; 2) preparing business related documents in a concise manner while ensuring accuracy of information; 3) preparing and issuing formal, or informal agreements related to business operations; 4) ability to maintain close and continuing contact with Contracting/Business Officials to ensure conformance with terms and conditions of agreements; and, 5) developing and presenting business-related data both verbally and in writing.

B. I have 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education or master’s or equivalent graduate degree or LL.B. or J.D.

C. I have a combination of education and experience.

D. I do not meet any of the requirements listed above.
